Head Of School

Our award winning Principal Mrs Elaine Gyechie is a creative and innovative early years specialist, who spent years designing the ultimate early years setting to best nurture, stimulate and develop young children.

A majority of this time was spent working hands on in one of London’s leading nursery chains to gain a first hand insight into what a quality child care establishment should consist of.

Having arrived in Ghana in 2016 from the United Kingdom, she committed to her vision of bringing a child focused Early Years Setting with excellent standards and values to Ghana.

From the lay out, facilities, safety measures, learning zones and most importantly the exceptional team of staff, Petits Scholars delivers quality early years education to a unique standard.

Elaine has taken her experience and vision and presented the new standard in early years education.

Elaine is a mother to 4 wonderful children who thrive under the care of Petits Scholars International. She has a profound love for children, and a passion for personal development and standards of excellence.

Her wealth of experience comes from raising her own children and 15 years working in both the health and social care, and education sectors in the UK. Elaine is an English BA honours graduate, holds a PTTLS teaching qualification, is a qualified personal development coach and an Early year’s foundation stage specialist. Her working history ranges from being a training consultant within various care homes, schools, nurseries and hospitals to Training Director for a chain of Residential care homes in the UK.

The high standards and rigorous conditions which have to be met, working under the UK’s Ofsted and Care standards agencies has given her the attention to detail and compliance knowledge to set up an environment which is safe, secure, and fulfilling to the needs of it’s children.

Her ability to train and coach a team of staff to deliver excellent care and teaching standards at Petits Scholars International, is what makes the setting the perfect home for children to thrive in.

Elaine is hands on with the day to day running of Petits Scholars International and makes it a point to form a bond with every family she meets to create a lasting partnership in the development of their children.

Elaine maintains partnerships in the UK where she is frequently updating her skills and keeping abreast with the developments in the Early years foundation stage curriculum and the Ofsted regulations. Petits Scholars International follows the UK’s EYFS and Cambridge International curriculums and practices the Ofsted rules and regulations.
